Fertility Diet: Food To Increase Egg Quality

The road to achieve parenthood may become a challenge for some couples but awareness can prevent few difficulties in fertility. Also, there are a few natural ways to boost your fertility. In fact, food choices and lifestyle changes can help overcome infertility.

When fertility is being discussed how many quality eggs a female has left, investigations are needed to find the egg quality. The decrease in egg quality is based on age. Although females are born with more eggs, older eggs are more chances of containing abnormal DNA. Without healthy DNA an egg can’t create a healthy child. Every female has some amount of abnormal eggs which will increase in age.

Most low quality eggs cannot be fertilized. Sometimes, low quality eggs may fertilize but eventually lead to miscarriage and a small percentage can fertilize well but it will lead to genetic disorders for the baby. This is why in older age it can take more menstrual cycles to get pregnant. In the IVF process, the success rate also depends on the egg quality and age.

Fertility testing such as checking Anti Mullerian Hormone (AMH) levels, which is a hormone that tells about egg quantity. But there is currently no recommended method to accurately predict egg quality.
